Role Overview

Waymo seeks a full-time Program Manager, Mapping Operations in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The professional in this role will build subject matter expertise in mapping imagery, collaborate with engineering teams, and drive operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Build deep subject matter expertise concerning the Imagery component of mapping operations and act as the primary contact for vendor teams.
Test and deploy new mapping tools, features, and workflows alongside engineering partners.
Find efficiency opportunities and manage those solutions from start to finish.
Author and maintain clear technical documentation.

Requirements

Hold a B.Tech or B.E. in Civil Engineering, Geoinformatics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
Possess at least two years of experience managing technical data pipelines or operations with direct responsibility for task flow, throughput, and error triage.
Demonstrate technical self-sufficiency through experience learning proprietary pipelines and diagnosing data anomalies.
Show experience translating raw engineering specifications into operational workflows for large teams.
Coordinate directly with software engineers to resolve blockers and keep operations running.
Ability to travel to the United States as needed, at least once every two years.

Nice to Have

Hold an MBA or PGDM specializing in Operations, Supply Chain, or Systems.
Experience with geospatial data, HD maps, GIS, LiDAR or camera sensor data, and autonomous vehicle or robotics pipelines.
Experience training, auditing, and enforcing quality and SLA metrics across vendor pods of twenty or more members.
Proficiency in SQL or Python for querying pipeline logs, auditing defect rates, and building operational dashboards.

Expected base salary range of ₹1,800,000 to ₹2,140,000 INR.
