About this role

Compeer Financial builds financial services to support agriculture and rural communities, and the Product Enablement team is exploring how emerging capabilities like agentic AI can improve experiences for clients and team members. The Product Manager for AI and Emerging Technology will identify meaningful problems, build and prioritize an opportunity portfolio, and design small experiments to learn quickly before making significant investments.

Operating within ambiguity, this person will balance discovery with delivery, determine appropriate levels of AI autonomy, and partner across product, technology, data, business, and risk teams. The ideal candidate has expert-level experience with AI-driven products, advanced product management skills, and a strong preference for iterative, evidence-based progress over large initiatives.

What you will do

  • Build and continuously refine a Now, Next, and Later portfolio of AI-enabled opportunities grounded in client and business needs.
  • Translate problems and jobs-to-be-done into hypotheses that can be discovered, tested, and validated.
  • Design small experiments that reduce uncertainty before significant investment is made.
  • Define what success looks like and use qualitative and quantitative evidence to determine whether to advance, adapt, or stop an idea.
  • Explore appropriate levels of AI autonomy, including where humans should remain in the loop and where additional controls are needed.
  • Partner closely with technology, data, security, risk, and business teams to evaluate feasibility, value, and responsible implementation.
  • Turn learning into reusable practices, patterns, and guidance that help other teams confidently explore AI-enabled opportunities.

What you need

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field, or possess an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrate expert-level experience leveraging AI-driven products and solutions to address complex business changes and deliver impactful results.
  • Bring advanced-level product management experience with strong Agile and Lean instincts.
  • Show a proven ability to collaborate with senior leadership and key stakeholders to make strategic AI recommendations.
  • Possess the ability to operate effectively in situations where the answer is not yet clear or defined.
  • Transform ambiguity into actionable hypotheses, experiments, and insights while focusing on problems before technologies.
  • Understand or show a strong willingness to learn the unique aspects of AI products, including data management, reliability, security, and human oversight.
