Role Overview

As the Principal Advanced Analytics authority at Netwealth, this role focuses on solving complex problems, turning ambiguity into clarity, and guiding data-driven decisions across the organization. The successful candidate partners with senior leaders, product teams, and engineers to build robust analytical solutions and establish technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the most challenging and impactful analytical initiatives from problem definition to final solution.
Apply advanced statistical modelling, machine learning, causal inference, and experimentation to address key business questions.
Collaborate closely with Product, Risk, Engineering, and business stakeholders to drive meaningful outcomes.
Establish technical methods, review practices, and standards for analytics across the company.
Mentor and uplift analytical capabilities through influence and communities of practice.

Requirements

Significant senior or principal-level experience in data science, applied statistics, or advanced analytics.
Deep expertise in machine learning, statistical modelling, experimentation, and causal inference.
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and set company-wide technical standards.
Excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts clearly to executives, board members, and analysts.
