Role Overview

The People Operations, AI & HR Systems Lead at Polaroid is an operational builder role based in Amsterdam with remote work flexibility, designed for someone who wants to design human resources infrastructure and AI workflows from scratch. This position suits an experienced human resources professional who enjoys combining technical systems management, data analytics, and employee lifecycle support in a scaling organization.

Key Responsibilities

Map, design, and build end-to-end human resources processes across the entire employee lifecycle while serving as the primary point of contact for staff navigating internal operations.

Identify and implement artificial intelligence solutions to automate repetitive administrative tasks, such as frequently asked questions, policy navigation, and chatbots.

Own the human resources technology stack, which includes human resources information systems, applicant tracking systems, payroll interfaces, and performance platforms.

Develop comprehensive leadership dashboards and improve data fluency across the human resources team.

Manage cross-jurisdiction compliance and employment law requirements in partnership with legal teams and human resources business partners, maintaining a clear policy library.

Administer compensation cycles, salary adjustments, payroll inputs, and benefits enrollment accuracy.

Coordinate international relocations, visa applications, work authorizations, and registrations alongside external partners.

Requirements

Professional background in people operations or a generalist human resources role focused on scaling environments, technology-led companies, start-ups, or scale-ups.

Hands-on experience configuring human resources systems, auditing data quality, and building workflows.

Strong project management capabilities with the ability to translate vague objectives into actionable steps.

Familiarity with employment law in the Netherlands.

Ability to build trust, influence without authority, and communicate fluently between human resources and technology domains.

Nice to Have

Experience working with Personio.

Prior exposure to employment law and regulations in Germany and Asian markets.
