Role Overview

Coherent Solutions seeks an ML Engineer for internal classical machine learning initiatives. The position involves structured learning, practical delivery, and taking on gradually more complex tasks alongside senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Clean, transform, encode, scale, and manage missing values while preparing and validating structured datasets.
Perform exploratory data analysis to find patterns, spot data quality problems, and uncover modeling opportunities.
Create, test, and contrast machine learning models for regression, classification, clustering, dimensionality reduction, and anomaly detection.
Design and select features with support and direction from senior colleagues.
Execute experiments, adjust parameters, and assess performance outcomes using correct validation methods and metrics.
Sustain reproducible pipelines, documentation, notebooks, and experiment tracking systems.
Author and upkeep automated tests for model and data code.
Assist in deploying models via batch-processing workflows or REST APIs.
Record model assumptions, limitations, findings, and technical choices.
Collaborate with senior engineers, integrate feedback, and assume responsibility for advanced assignments progressively.

Requirements

Minimum of one year of practical Python programming background utilizing pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and Jupyter.
Solid grounding in linear algebra, statistics, and probability, coupled with exploratory data analysis capabilities.
Knowledge of supervised and unsupervised machine learning principles, alongside hands-on practice in classification, regression, clustering, dimensionality reduction, and anomaly detection.
Capability to prepare structured datasets through cleaning, scaling, encoding, transformation, and handling missing data, alongside feature engineering and selection proficiency.
Knowledge of data splits, cross-validation, regularization, overfitting, data leakage, metric selection, model comparison, and error analysis.
Familiarity with hyperparameter tuning and reproducible pipelines.
Database querying capabilities using SQL for extraction and analysis.
Capacity to serve models through batch workflows or REST APIs.
Acquaintance with Git, containerization via Docker, automated testing, and basic monitoring.
Communication skills to articulate model behavior, results, and limitations.
Proficiency in English at a B2 level or higher.

Nice to Have

Experience with XGBoost, time-series analysis, and recommendation systems.
Familiarity with MLflow, model interpretability, and cloud services.
Background in production ML monitoring.
Exposure to GenAI, large language models, RAG, prompt engineering, and agent development.
