Role Overview

Clera is hiring a full-time Mid-Level Research Engineer, QC Automation to work on-site in Singapore. The person in this position will take ownership of quality control automation for training data as organizational data needs expand.

Key Responsibilities

Construct automated quality control mechanisms based on human judgment and data understanding instead of heavy reliance on large language models.
Establish and apply quality benchmarks for training data.
Formulate experiments and measurements to evaluate agent outputs.
Partner with data vendors to examine quality problems, identify agent failure causes, and enhance data creation workflows.
Convert quality control insights into sampling plans alongside rule-based or model-assisted validation pipelines.
Enhance infrastructure tools and vendor procedures to minimize anomalies, inconsistencies, and edge cases.

Requirements

Possess two to four years of background in research engineering or a comparable capacity centered on quality control automation.
Demonstrate proficiency in Python, Docker, and Linux.
Bring practical experience in constructing scalable data validation pipelines and end-to-end automated QA or QC systems.
Show background in benchmarks and evaluations for reinforcement learning data, covering task design, reliable rubrics, and useful training trajectories.
Exhibit familiarity with measuring training data quality, designing experiments and metrics, and establishing quality control procedures.
Display a strong statistical foundation, clear communication skills, curiosity, and the ability to operate autonomously in unstructured, fast-paced settings.
