Role Overview

As an AI Engineer Specialist, the primary mission is to take ownership of the design and deployment of scalable AI systems in production. Daily responsibilities include architectural design for training, retraining, developing, monitoring, deploying, and serving machine learning models. The professional will maintain scalable infrastructure for machine learning pipelines, APIs, and products, while implementing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code to ensure operational stability.

Key Responsibilities

Design system architecture to train, retrain, develop, monitor, deploy, and serve machine learning models in production.
Build and maintain scalable infrastructure supporting machine learning pipelines, APIs, and ML products.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for continuous deployment, updating, and monitoring of models and services.
Apply infrastructure and engineering practices specifically designed for machine learning, including automation and infrastructure as code.
Partner with data scientists, software engineers, and cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning models into production seamlessly.
Maintain compliance with security and privacy requirements within a financial context.
Troubleshoot and optimize machine learning production systems for performance, reliability, and scalability.
Share knowledge, mentor, and support team members regarding MLOps best practices, API development, and model production.

Requirements

Practical background as a Machine Learning Engineer, MLOps Engineer, or a related role with experience supporting ML models in production.
Solid experience utilizing major cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Proficiency in containerization tools like Docker and orchestration systems including Kubernetes.
Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn alongside production requirements.
Strong Python programming abilities focused on clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions, and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.
Understanding of data pipelines and ETL processes encompassing streaming and batch.
Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
Knowledge of security and compliance standards specific to payment systems.
Conversational English skills to communicate effectively with international stakeholders and present information.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of Kafka or similar event streaming platforms.
Familiarity with financial services or payment systems.
Experience working with products featuring machine learning or AI in their core functionality.
Background in risk-related products, transaction routing, fraud prevention, or alternative payment use cases.
