Role Overview

The Machine Learning Engineer, Customer Engineering role at Production in San Francisco is a full-time remote opportunity designed for seasoned professionals passionate about AI and distributed computing. This position suits individuals with extensive technical expertise who thrive on guiding customers through their post-sale adoption journey on the Anyscale platform.

Key Responsibilities

Support customers through onboarding, adoption, and platform growth by driving consumption and solving technical challenges.
Act as a trusted technical advisor and internal advocate for key accounts, building strong relationships with technical stakeholders.
Manage customer issues from start to finish, which includes troubleshooting, triaging, escalating, and resolving tickets.
Take part in a follow-the-sun support structure to maintain continuous resolution for high-priority items.
Track open bugs and feature requests to guide product prioritization and deliver status updates to users.
Partner with engineering and product groups to fix issues and enhance the overall product experience.
Create internal tools, playbooks, best practice guides, and documentation based on recurring customer trends.

Requirements

Bring at least seven years of hands-on background working in a machine learning capacity within a fast-moving, startup environment.
Demonstrate strong organizational abilities to juggle multiple client needs at the same time.
Excel at building data pipelines used for training, fine-tuning, and serving large language models (LLMs).
Possess practical experience running and fine-tuning infrastructure for distributed machine learning workloads across leading cloud providers.
Exhibit exceptional communication skills, interpersonal talent, a strong sense of ownership, and self-motivation.
Show a willingness to elevate team members through mentorship, training sessions, and job shadowing.

Nice to Have

Prior experience working with the Ray framework.
Familiarity with various MLOps platforms.
Knowledge of container orchestration systems and infrastructure as code tools.

Annual salary range between $170,000 and $199,000 in USD.
