About this role
Prototyping secure and scalable LLM and agent systems using retrieval-augmented generation and multi-agent orchestration forms the core of daily responsibilities. Working alongside strategic customers, the team builds enterprise AI solutions on the Celonis Process Intelligence platform to bridge operational blind spots and drive real return on investment. This role exists to solve complex business-critical problems, translate high-level enterprise requirements into technical solutions, and demonstrate value to executive stakeholders.
Professionals in this position design architectures incorporating robust guardrails, integrate enterprise data frameworks, and guide projects from discovery through adoption. Someone with a strong background in technical pre-sales, machine learning prototyping, and executive presentation will thrive in this environment. Candidates who enjoy complex problem-solving and possess deep domain knowledge in industries like energy or supply chain find great success here.
What you will do
- Collaborate with strategic customers to uncover critical business challenges and translate high-level operational needs into tailored artificial intelligence strategies.
- Rapidly build creative prototypes and participate in customer hackathons using advanced machine learning and generative artificial intelligence technologies.
- Drive agentic process transformation by helping enterprises shift from rule-based automation to autonomous AI agents powered by process intelligence.
- Execute end-to-end proof-of-value projects by designing secure and scalable large language model architectures equipped with retrieval-augmented generation, tools, and guardrails.
- Remain actively involved throughout project lifecycles until agreed adoption thresholds and measurable value realization are successfully achieved.
- Specialise in specific domains or industries to effectively scale technical knowledge across the entire organization.
What you need
- Requires a minimum of nine years of experience leading technical pre-sales, defining AI roadmaps, building ROI and TCO business cases, and prototyping generative AI solutions.
- Demonstrates relevant experience working within the energy, oil and gas, or utility sectors.
- Possesses a solid understanding of generative AI techniques such as retrieval-augmented generation, few-shot learning, prompt engineering, multi-agent orchestration, and fine-tuning.
- Shows a strong grasp of enterprise business processes across sectors like supply chain or finance.
- Maintains good knowledge of Python alongside common machine learning libraries including LangChain, pandas, pydantic, sklearn, and PyTorch.
- Exhibits strong presentation skills capable of engaging internal and external stakeholders through whiteboarding sessions, demos, and executive readouts.
- Holds a bachelor's degree, with a master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field preferred.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience building agentic systems using LLM orchestration, RAG, function calling, and prompt engineering with safety guardrails
- Working knowledge of open-source packages in the LLM ecosystem such as LangChain and LlamaIndex
- Experience deploying and monitoring models at scale across major cloud platforms including AWS Bedrock, Azure AI, and GCP Vertex
Benefits
- Restricted Stock Units and merit-based refresh grants
- Inclusive parental leave policy with fully paid leave for primary and supporting carers
- Unlimited or generous global paid time off and a flexible hybrid work model
- Access to a 70-20-10 learning framework, mentorship programs, and a dedicated learning platform
