Role Overview

Maze is seeking a remote Head of GTM, Research Services to act as the founding commercial leader for a brand-new line of business in the United States or European Union. This high-profile role involves building and executing the go-to-market strategy for an AI-native alternative to traditional market research agencies.

Key Responsibilities

Define and co-own the go-to-market strategy for the Market Research service, covering positioning, packaging, pricing, and target segments.
Partner with the Head of Market Research to shape the offering based on buyer needs and AI capabilities.
Establish metrics, forecasts, and operating cadences while iterating rapidly based on market feedback.
Coordinate with the existing sales team to generate a qualified pipeline and deliver enablement, playbooks, and joint account planning.
Activate a personal network of market research buyers to open doors with insights leaders.
Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle including scoping, proposals, pricing, negotiation, and closing.
Partner with Marketing to build brand presence, develop thought leadership, and turn early wins into repeatable demand.
Serve as the connective tissue between Sales, Marketing, Research, and Product teams.

Requirements

Significant experience growing market research services, insights consulting, or research technology businesses with commercial ownership.
Strong existing network of market research buyers and practitioners.
Deep domain expertise in qualitative and quantitative methodologies, study design, and how insights organizations operate.
Strong familiarity with AI tools and an everyday AI-driven workflow.
Zero-to-one builder mindset with comfort operating in ambiguity.
Consultative selling skills capable of handling complex research engagements and enterprise buyers.

Nice to Have

Experience launching a new service or product line inside a scaling company.
Published thought leadership or public speaking on AI in market research.
Experience selling both platform SaaS and agency services motions.
Management and entrepreneurial experience such as building a practice or launching an offering.
