Role Overview

The Head of AI Operations owns Ben's internal applied AI transformation, working directly with the founders with full backing, budget, and authority. This position spans the entire company—from customer operations to commercial, finance, and people functions—to eliminate slow, manual workflows and rebuild them into self-running systems.

Key Responsibilities

Rebuild the company operating system by partnering with customer operations, finance, people, and commercial functions to redesign slow, manual processes.
Reinvent how work happens by getting hands-on to design and implement systems that handle end-to-end workflows across the business.
Own the Applied AI strategy in collaboration with the founders to determine priorities, sequencing, and success metrics.
Drive adoption and support every function in becoming AI-native to ensure long-term usage and behavioral change.
Establish standards, guardrails, quality bars, and evaluations for internal AI adoption while maintaining compliance standards.

Requirements

High-growth B2B SaaS experience with a proven track record of shifting team operations and delivering measurable outcomes.
Strong systems thinker capable of managing complex problems spanning multiple business areas.
Deep, practical AI fluency with daily usage of tools like Claude and Claude Code alongside a clear view of where AI creates real value.
Exec-level influence in a scaling company with the ability to engage stakeholders from individual contributors to the C-suite and turn ambiguity into aligned action.
A hands-on approach to working inside functions to redesign processes and build impactful systems.
Act as a force multiplier who creates repeatable systems and develops team members.

Nice to Have

Prompt and context engineering experience with a structured approach to getting the best out of models and teaching others.
Experience building guardrails and implementing evaluations for internal AI systems prior to handling live data.

Competitive base salary and equity
£100 monthly personal Ben Balance, increasing by £50 each year of service up to £250
Weekly lunch provided in the office
