About this role
Writing production code across the codebase and owning services end to end are central to daily operations in this marketing engineering role at Faire. Sitting directly inside the marketing organization rather than behind a ticket queue, the engineer builds internal systems, automates campaigns, integrates AI agents into workflows, and enables marketers to run independently. Success in the position means expanding marketing capabilities that did not exist previously while solving problems related to landing page frameworks, audience syncing, and paid media tooling.
The team focuses on bridging the gap between engineering standards and marketing execution by deploying infrastructure, handling on-call duties, and turning ambiguous requests into structured plans. A resourceful candidate who enjoys bridging technical systems with growth initiatives and communicating tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders will thrive in this environment.
What you will do
- Write production code across the company codebase and own services end to end, including participation in on-call rotations.
- Integrate AI agents into marketing workflows backed by evaluation harnesses, monitoring, and defined failure modes.
- Build self-serve systems for landing pages and audience attributes to empower partner marketing teams.
- Analyze data from the warehouse to instrument what matters and determine future system builds.
- Translate ambiguous business requests into scoped, prioritized technical plans and communicate progress to non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate directly with lifecycle, paid, brand, and product marketing teams to find patterns behind requests and build scalable solutions.
What you need

- Practical experience using AI coding agents daily and deploying LLMs into production systems with proper evaluations and monitoring.
- Track record of owning a system end to end, managing on-call responsibilities, and delivering solutions for non-technical users to operate independently.
Nice to have
- Marketplace or two-sided e-commerce experience
- Production experience with Kotlin or Java on the backend and JavaScript or TypeScript with React or Next.js on the frontend
