Key Responsibilities

Direct the complete product roadmap for on-device artificial intelligence from initial research stages to final shipment.
Recruit, mentor, and expand a team of specialized edge AI engineers.
Optimize and deploy models onto embedded accelerator platforms through quantization, pruning, and distillation.
Manage the entire toolchain encompassing model export, inference optimization frameworks, and associated software development kits.
Collaborate directly with hardware, software, and product departments to respect latency, power, and memory constraints.
Establish quality standards by executing benchmarking, on-device evaluations, and performance regression testing.
Address complex technical roadblocks involving quantization accuracy drops or hardware latency spikes.

Requirements

Hold a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related discipline.
Bring seven or more years of professional experience in machine learning or embedded artificial intelligence engineering, including at least two years in a technical leadership capacity.
Demonstrate practical deployment experience on embedded accelerator hardware such as NVIDIA Jetson or Qualcomm IQ-series.
Apply deep knowledge of model optimization techniques including quantization, pruning, distillation, and architecture search.
Show proficiency with optimization and deployment toolchains like ONNX, TensorRT, and AIMET.
Possess strong programming skills in Python and C++, practical experience with PyTorch, and familiarity with embedded Linux and low-level profiling.
Communicate professionally in English, with German language skills at a B2 to C1 level considered a strong advantage.
