Role Overview

Clera is seeking a mid-level full-stack engineer to operate on-site in San Francisco, California. The position involves close collaboration with research, operations, and external partners to transform complex requirements into reliable products.

Key Responsibilities

Create user interfaces intended for environment browsing, model trajectory inspection, task quality review, and model behavior comprehension.
Construct workflows that assist external partners in generating, submitting, testing, and enhancing reinforcement learning environments and training data.
Implement dashboards and observability utilities covering environment quality, evaluation outcomes, data collection tracking, and pipeline health.
Architect backend services and application programming interfaces linking task authoring, data collection, evaluation, quality review, and training systems.
Partner with research, operations, and go-to-market divisions to release and refine offerings within a rapid operational setting.

Requirements

Minimum of three years of professional background creating and deploying production full-stack software.
Competence in Python alongside a contemporary web stack including React, TypeScript, or Next.js.
Practical background involving artificial intelligence, machine learning, or reinforcement learning, paired with complete ownership of user-facing or internal applications.
Background designing data inspection, review, quality assessment, dashboard, or observability applications.
Familiarity with backend services, application programming interfaces, databases, cloud infrastructure, Docker, continuous integration and deployment, and production troubleshooting.
Effective communication abilities and aptitude for cross-functional cooperation.

Nice to Have

Background utilizing Amazon Web Services, Kubernetes, Terraform, Grafana, developer tools, partner workflows, or data collection and evaluation systems.
