Role Overview

thatgamecompany is hiring a Full-stack Engineer (AI application focused) for their Shanghai, China office. This full-time position suits an experienced developer with a background in Python, TypeScript, and modern artificial intelligence tools who wants to build innovative solutions for game operations and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with the ITS team to deliver artificial intelligence solutions that align with the enterprise strategy and streamline daily operations.
Design and manage the enterprise agentic-AI orchestration platform while prioritizing user experience, security, and governance.
Collaborate with Publishing, Infrastructure, IT, Legal, and other departments to discover, prioritize, and launch high-value capabilities like agents, automations, and copilots.
Build and nurture a cross-functional Community of Practice focused on enterprise artificial intelligence adoption, training, and enablement.
Work alongside fellow developers to plan, design, build, and unit-test modern applications.

Requirements

At least 2 years of hands-on production experience utilizing TypeScript, Python, or similar artificial intelligence-related languages.
Familiarity with agent frameworks such as LangChain, Dify, and n8n, alongside orchestration tools like LangGraph and Microsoft AutoGen.
Knowledge of knowledge-search technology including RAG, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation.
Understanding of the large language model landscape, including Google Gemini, OpenAI ChatGPT, and Alibaba Qwen, with awareness of model advantages, token limits, latency, and costs.
Experience in automation and web application development.
Proficiency with the Git version control system.
Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative setting with cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams.
Strong initiative to improve existing solutions, systems, and processes.
Fluent in both spoken English and Chinese.

Nice to Have

Prior background in game development.
Experience in image recognition, XR development, mobile clients, and console platform development.
Practical experience designing and building enterprise artificial intelligence applications for production environments.
Knowledge of optimizing token costs through caching, batching, and efficiency, plus familiarity with multimodal systems and algorithms like CLIP, LLAVA, and VALL-E.
Understanding of TRiSM (Trust, Risk, and Security Management) frameworks for artificial intelligence.
