Waymo builds the Waymo Driver, an autonomous driving technology designed to improve mobility access and enhance road safety across public routes. The organization is currently hiring a Facilities Market Lead to maintain continuous operations across critical sites in Los Angeles.
In this hybrid capacity, the individual will oversee physical infrastructure, manage local budgets, and govern third-party service providers to ensure sites remain mission-ready. The person selected will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including Fleet Operations, Security, and Environment, Health and Safety teams.

What you will do
- Maintain a visible daily presence across regional operational sites to keep the physical environment safe, functional, and compliant around the clock.
- Drive end-to-end facilities service delivery to satisfy critical uptime service level agreements.
- Oversee local operational budgets, resource allocation, and space utilization without disrupting business-critical functions.
- Act as the primary regional liaison for internal groups such as Fleet Operations, Security, and EHS.
- Govern contracted Integrated Facilities Management providers by monitoring performance against established scorecards.
- Implement facility dashboards and reporting workflows to analyze site performance metrics.
What you need
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Management, Engineering, or possess equivalent practical experience.
- Bring over ten years of account management, outsourcing management, or facilities operations background at a manager level.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience handling complex budgets, service contracts, and third-party vendor performance.
- Possess a strong understanding of compliance requirements, organizational leadership, and workplace strategy.
- Communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written formats across diverse audiences.
- Commit to a hybrid work schedule in the designated market location alongside local travel.
Nice to have
- Certification or Industry Designation in Project Management, Engineering, or Facilities Services
- Experience in high-velocity logistics, automotive, tech-manufacturing, or mixed-use environments
- Background operating within highly vendorized facilities settings
- Familiarity with the assigned market real estate trends and regional vendor networks
