Role Overview

This remote position at StackBlitz invites an experienced technical leader to own frontend architecture and team development. The position requires spending significant time writing code while simultaneously managing performance, career growth, and cross-functional coordination within a globally distributed team.

Key Responsibilities

Own UI architecture, covering component patterns, state management, performance optimization, and frontend infrastructure.
Write code regularly for complex features, architectural improvements, and system migrations.
Review all user interface pull requests and uphold high quality standards.
Conduct performance reviews, manage career growth, hold regular one-on-one sessions, and make hiring decisions for the UI team.
Coordinate feature assignments based on team member capacity, skills, and priorities.
Champion AI coding tools, build AI-powered user interface features, and use Bolt.new daily to drive product enhancements.

Requirements

Ten or more years of frontend development experience alongside at least three years of leadership experience.
Expert proficiency in React, TypeScript, modern frontend architecture, HTML, Tailwind CSS, and performance optimization.
Proven track record of making architectural decisions that balance speed with long-term maintainability.
Experience building AI-integrated applications and interfaces while utilizing AI coding assistants daily.
Strong user experience sensibilities, attention to detail, and the ability to translate design files into pixel-perfect interfaces.
Excellent communication skills and a pragmatic, action-oriented mindset.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with Web Workers, Web Components, Remix, or browser development environments.
Background in developer tooling, design tools, or design engineering.
Open-source contributions to user interface libraries.
Experience with WebAssembly or advanced browser APIs.
