Engineering Manager, DevEx
About this role
Platform engineering leaders who thrive on building reusable systems, reducing cognitive friction, and enabling other developers will enjoy this position at Slice. The team constructs and evolves the internal developer platform, GitOps workflows, Kubernetes infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and internal tooling that power engineering across the organization. This role exists to create the conditions where platform engineers build high-impact systems, ensuring that deployment velocity, system reliability, and developer productivity continue to rise.
Working closely with engineering leadership, the selected manager will guide technical direction across cloud infrastructure and deployment workflows while mentoring talented platform engineers. Success is measured by improved adoption, faster and safer deployments, and the growth of team members rather than just features shipped. Candidates who focus on customer outcomes, navigate uncertainty with clarity, and maintain a platform mindset of building scalable self-service guardrails will succeed here.
