Role Overview

Neura Robotics GmbH seeks an Edge AI Engineer to bridge the gap between machine learning, embedded systems, and robotics. The professional focuses on transforming trained models into production-ready intelligence running on physical robot hardware.

Key Responsibilities

Deploy machine learning models to the edge using quantization, pruning, and distillation techniques tailored for embedded accelerator platforms like NVIDIA Jetson and Qualcomm IQ-series.
Manage the complete deployment toolchain, including model export, inference optimization frameworks, and software development kits.
Profile, analyze, and optimize software models and runtimes to meet specific latency, energy, and memory constraints of target hardware.
Collaborate cross-functionally with research, hardware, software, and product teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Establish benchmarking, on-device evaluation, and performance regression testing for all hardware targets.
Troubleshoot accuracy losses following quantization, investigate latency spikes, and resolve hardware-specific runtime issues.

Requirements

Master or PhD degree in computer science, electrical engineering, embedded systems, or a related field.
At least 3 years of professional experience in machine learning or embedded AI engineering, featuring actual production deployments on embedded accelerators.
Practical familiarity with embedded AI hardware platforms such as NVIDIA Jetson or the Qualcomm IQ series.
Comprehensive knowledge of model optimization practices, including quantization, pruning, distillation, and architecture search.
Proficiency with model optimization and deployment toolchains like ONNX, TensorRT, and AIMET.
Strong technical command of Python and C++, PyTorch, embedded Linux, and low-level profiling.
Fluent English communication skills.
