Role Overview

Neura Robotics GmbH seeks an Edge AI Engineer to operate at the intersection of machine learning, embedded systems, and robotics. The professional focuses on adapting models to run efficiently on shipped hardware platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Deploy machine learning models to the edge using techniques such as quantization, pruning, and distillation on embedded accelerators like NVIDIA Jetson and Qualcomm IQ-series.
Manage model export and inference optimization frameworks, including ONNX, TensorRT, and AIMET, along with relevant SDKs.
Optimize and profile runtimes to adhere to strict latency, power, and memory constraints of target hardware.
Collaborate with Research, Hardware, Software, and Product departments to transition on-device AI from research stages to final products.
Establish and maintain benchmarking procedures, on-device evaluations, and performance regression testing.
Troubleshoot complex issues related to quantization accuracy drops and latency spikes on physical chips.

Requirements

Hold a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related discipline.
Bring at least three years of professional experience in machine learning or embedded AI engineering with demonstrated production deployments.
Demonstrate hands-on familiarity with embedded AI hardware platforms such as NVIDIA Jetson or Qualcomm IQ-series.
Possess knowledge in model optimization methods including quantization, pruning, distillation, and architecture search.
Show proficiency with optimization and deployment toolchains like ONNX, TensorRT, and AIMET.
Exhibit technical proficiency in Python, C++, PyTorch, embedded Linux, and low-level profiling.
Communicate professionally in English; German language skills at a B2 to C1 level represent a strong advantage.
