Role Overview

Forma.ai is seeking a Director of Strategic Finance to act as the primary strategic partner to the Vice President of Finance. Operating out of the Toronto office, this full-time position focuses on building forward-looking financial frameworks, integrating modern AI and automation tooling into revenue operations, and directing corporate modeling without relying on junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

Design and manage dynamic three-statement models, recurring operating plans, revenue forecasts, and multi-year scenario analyses from inception.
Prepare quantitative financial narratives, board meeting materials, investor reporting, and executive review packages.
Spearhead annual budgeting cycles in collaboration with executive leadership and establish real-time progress tracking.
Identify manual bottlenecks in billing, contract parsing, and commercial operations, subsequently deploying custom prompts, LLM workflows, and automated scripts.
Architect data flows connecting customer relationship management, quoting, billing, and enterprise resource planning systems to streamline revenue operations.
Partner with revenue operations to monitor sales capacity, pipeline velocity, customer acquisition costs, and retention cohorts.
Execute operational duties for mergers, acquisitions, and capital market transactions, including due diligence modeling and virtual data room administration.

Requirements

Seven to ten or more years of professional background in strategic finance, financial planning and analysis, business operations, investment banking, or management consulting, followed by high-growth business-to-business software-as-a-service experience.
Advanced proficiency in complex revenue generation models, operational modeling, three-statement architecture, software-as-a-service metrics, and executive-level financial storytelling.
Practical familiarity with building finance technology stacks, deploying artificial intelligence tooling, and utilizing automation platforms to remove manual tasks.
Demonstrated history of handling deal desk operations, pricing frameworks, billing schedules, and equity compensation structures.
