Role Overview

The Director, FP&A position at Ditto is a remote leadership role responsible for directing the financial engine, operating model, and planning cadence of a rapidly growing edge data startup. This position suits an experienced finance professional with a strong background in corporate finance who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and possesses a passion for AI-native financial tools.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the consolidated, bottoms-up three-statement operating model through a cross-functionally adopted budgeting process.
Drive revenue and cash forecasting with rigorous cross-functional partnerships.
Track key business metrics such as burn multiple, Rule of 40, and efficiency to guide critical operational decisions.
Operate, expand, and scale Ditto's AI-native, home-grown reporting and forecasting Financial OS.
Partner closely with leadership on capital-raise processes, including building financial models and communicating business narratives.
Establish a predictable corporate FP&A cadence that includes actuals reviews, reliable forecasts, and version control.
Collaborate with accounting teams to align forecasting with GAAP and non-GAAP accounting views.
Produce board reporting materials while designing and administering sales compensation and commissions with go-to-market teams.

Requirements

Bring 8 to 12 years of direct experience in FP&A or corporate finance within high-growth settings.
Demonstrate a strong aptitude for analytical problem-solving and financial storytelling.
Exhibit a bias toward action, self-sufficiency, and the ability to make decisions using imperfect information.
Show AI fluency with hands-on technical skills such as SQL and data automation to extend in-house tooling.
Possess direct experience working hands-on with enterprise planning platforms like Anaplan, Planful, or Pigment.
Offer a mix of strong individual contributor execution and prior management experience.

Nice to Have

Domain expertise in government contracts, public sector go-to-market strategies, and dual-use business models.
Foundational experience in investment banking.
Direct involvement in corporate fundraising events or IPO processes.
Familiarity with NetSuite or comparable enterprise resource planning software.
