About this role
Developing shared tooling, scaffolding templates, and CI/CD pipelines forms the core of daily operations for the DevEx Engineer at AutoProff. Operating within the Taycan platform squad, the person in this role builds reusable capabilities that allow product teams to focus on delivering product value rather than solving recurring technical problems. Responsibilities include shaping development patterns such as Outbox and Sagas, establishing AWS infrastructure standards, and integrating agentic AI into developer workflows.
AutoProff maintains engineering hubs in both Copenhagen and Vejle, permitting the new hire to work from either location. Collaborating directly with platform engineers and service owners, the engineer creates solutions deployed across the wider organization. Ideal candidates bring strong .NET and AWS backgrounds, paired with a collaborative approach to gathering feedback and driving the adoption of platform standards.
What you will do
- Design and evolve shared libraries, scaffolding templates, and CI/CD tooling to eliminate recurring friction for product squads.
- Establish paved paths for messaging patterns including Outbox and Sagas, alongside observability and recovery tooling.
- Assist developers in adopting shared standards covering tracing, service integration, and AWS infrastructure.
- Collaborate with engineers across various product squads to identify recurring bottlenecks and translate them into developer experience priorities.
- Help teams adopt platform practices that simplify service ownership, daily operations, and code reuse.
- Incorporate agentic AI into developer experience tasks and share practical learnings with the broader engineering organization.
What you need
- Demonstrate strong professional software engineering experience using .NET and C#.
- Show proficiency across Amazon Web Services including ECS, Lambda, SQS, and S3, alongside infrastructure-as-code tools like CDK or Terraform.
- Possess familiarity with microservices, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems patterns such as Outbox, Sagas, and Change Data Capture.
- Bring hands-on experience in building shared libraries, observability tooling, and reusable APIs.
- Exhibit excellent collaboration and communication skills to support internal squads, gather feedback, and drive tool adoption.
Nice to have
- Experience in platform engineering or developer enablement roles
- Familiarity with internal documentation practices, onboarding tooling, and automated scaffolding
- Hands-on work with service event rehydration, incident recovery tooling, or metadata standards
- Practical experience using LLMs, generative AI, or agentic AI in software development
