Role Overview

Arrive is seeking a Data Scientist for a hybrid position based in Chișinău. This professional role is suited for candidates with a strong mathematical background who want to build production-ready machine learning solutions that transform global urban mobility.

Key Responsibilities

Build and test new machine learning solutions that address challenges in electric vehicle charging, journey routing, and parking.
Optimize current production models through systematic experimentation and iterative enhancements.
Write reliable production code and partner with engineers to deploy scalable pipelines.
Research and integrate advanced machine learning and statistical methodologies to improve services.
Coordinate closely with colleagues across engineering, analytics, and data science departments.

Requirements

At least 2 years of commercial work experience creating machine learning or statistical products, ideally including deployment.
Strong theoretical and mathematical foundation, particularly in probability theory, gained through an MSc or a highly quantitative degree.
Strong ability to tackle complex and ambiguous challenges with creative problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Python along with core data science libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-Learn.
Familiarity with standard software engineering principles and machine learning techniques.

Nice to Have

Prior experience working with geospatial data or a background in Geographic Information Systems, utilizing Python packages like GeoPandas.
Experience handling massive datasets with big data tools, preferably PySpark.
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, specifically AWS.
