Role Overview

Epistemix is hiring a full-time, remote Data Scientist based in the United States to support data integration and modeling for a diverse portfolio of customers. This role is ideal for quantitative professionals with two to three years of experience who want to drive impactful software adoption and client success in public health, life sciences, and enterprise strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Work directly with client teams to understand objectives and design comprehensive data integration, modeling, and visualization plans.

Partner with internal and external teams to build, test, and validate simulation models for healthcare use cases.

Contribute to client onboarding processes and materials to accelerate initial platform success.

Provide troubleshooting, tips, and informal user support.

Build models, simulations, and visualizations for premium support clients while helping formulate actionable recommendations.

Participate in client reviews to document measurable outcomes and share product feedback with Sales and Product teams.

Requirements

Hold a Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Epidemiology, Economics, Public Health, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.

Bring two to three years of professional experience as a Data Scientist or Analyst, noting that Ph.D. program work can count toward this requirement.

Possess a solid foundation in predictive analytics, data modeling, and machine learning.

Demonstrate an understanding of key healthcare industry concepts, with broad healthcare experience strongly preferred.

Have legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for future employer sponsorship.

Skills and Tools

Proficiency in Python and associated data science technologies.

Experience utilizing data visualization software such as Power BI, Tableau, and/or GIS tools.

Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases.

Strong communication skills spanning verbal interaction, code writing, map creation, and data visualizations.
