Role Overview

B2Spin seeks a Data Science Manager to report directly to the Head of Data and guide the organization's modeling and experimentation standards. This function involves defining team priorities, maintaining technical quality, and aligning data initiatives with broader corporate objectives across multiple verticals.

Key Responsibilities

Shape and prioritize the team roadmap in collaboration with the Head of Data to align with core business goals.
Translate stakeholder requirements into actionable team priorities and communicate technical trade-offs to non-technical audiences.
Review modeling approaches, experimental designs, and causal inference work, stepping in directly to guide delivery when necessary.
Manage the hiring process, conduct one-on-one sessions, and collaborate on performance, compensation, and career growth.
Promote rigorous experimentation through A/B testing, quasi-experimental methods, and causal thinking across performance and product tracks.

Requirements

Demonstrated hands-on data science background with a history of delivering practical models, experiments, and analyses.
Practical depth in at least one specific domain such as recommendation systems, experimental design and causal inference, customer segmentation, churn prediction, fraud or anomaly detection, or CRM analytics.
Solid command of statistical methods, supervised and unsupervised machine learning, and causal inference.
Prior evidence of leadership experience through mentoring, acting as a tech lead, or participating in hiring loops.
Proficiency in both Python and SQL.
Strong communication skills to provide technical feedback and represent the team to senior stakeholders.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with cloud-based data and machine learning platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Prior formal people-management experience.
