The selected candidate will guide machine learning and artificial intelligence projects from initial business questions through to production-ready customer features.
Daily responsibilities include serving as an internal consultant for business units lacking dedicated data science resources, maintaining critical data domains, and researching emerging AI applications for the hospitality sector. The team works alongside MLOps engineers and a lead data scientist to transform large-scale hotel data networks into real-time intelligence. This opportunity suits professionals who possess a strong technical background in Python and cloud infrastructure paired with a consultative approach to ambiguous business challenges.
What you will do
- Partner with internal teams to contribute data science expertise across various projects.
- Advise on data science initiatives, review peer work, and contribute hands-on execution for long-term projects.
- Build, evaluate, and ship machine learning and AI models intended for customer-facing applications.
- Ramp up quickly on important data domains to provide ongoing support and maintenance as needs arise.
- Research developments in advanced AI capabilities and experiment with practical applications for hospitality.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to determine when a solution meets the readiness criteria for customer use.
What you need
- Demonstrated professional experience working in the data science field.
- Hands-on programming experience using Python to develop machine learning and AI solutions.
- Practical background utilizing cloud orchestration tools for data pipelines and modeling.
- Familiarity with generative AI concepts and applications.
- A proven track record of taking machine learning models and AI products into production for end users.
- Strong communication skills with experience partnering alongside stakeholders on ambiguous data problems.
- Ability to execute data science projects independently.
- Professional fluency in the English language.
