This role exists to support a growing national caseload and offers a flexible hybrid arrangement across select office locations.
What you will do
- Advise corporate clients on compliance with state, federal, and international data protection laws including CCPA, HIPAA, and GDPR.
- Counsel organizations on artificial intelligence governance frameworks and emerging regulatory requirements at both state and federal levels.
- Draft and negotiate data processing agreements, privacy policies, artificial intelligence use guidelines, and related vendor contracts.
- Conduct comprehensive privacy and artificial intelligence risk assessments across multiple industries.
- Defend clients in privacy litigation matters covering data breaches, class actions, and various statutory claims.
- Develop and deliver educational programs regarding data privacy best practices and artificial intelligence ethics.
- Monitor legislative and enforcement trends to provide proactive legal guidance to clients.
What you need
- Possess a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Maintain active admission to practice law in at least one state and federal jurisdiction.
- Demonstrate three to eight years of professional experience in data privacy, cybersecurity, or artificial intelligence governance legal practice.
- Showcase a strong working knowledge of United States state and international privacy frameworks.
- Exhibit excellent analytical, writing, and professional communication skills.
- Manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining strong billable productivity on a substantial caseload.
Nice to have
- Experience advising on AI governance, algorithmic accountability, and emerging AI regulations
- CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, or other privacy certifications
- Demonstrated track record of thought leadership in data privacy or AI governance

What is the salary range for the position?
The salary range is between $150,000 and $190,000 USD. Compensation decisions factor in experience, education, licensure, geographic location, and market demands, and the role is eligible for discretionary bonuses.
