About this role

WorldStrides is seeking a Data & Platform Product Manager based in the United States to shape the future of educational travel technology. This builder's role suits an experienced product professional who thrives on owning adjacent problem spaces and driving measurable outcomes.

Role Overview

WorldStrides moves hundreds of thousands of students, families, teachers, and schools through complex financial transactions while generating massive amounts of data. This position focuses on two key, under-invested areas: Platform, which covers payments, billing, and financial partnerships, and Data, which encompasses data quality, pipelines, and self-serve analytics. The product manager will guide the ongoing migration of the data platform into Microsoft Fabric and utilize Power BI as the analytics and reporting surface. Working with autonomous pods, the successful candidate will prioritize high-impact experiments, leverage AI as a daily force multiplier, and focus on delivering genuine value rather than just shipping features.

Key Responsibilities

Frame complex problems sharply across the platform and data lanes by synthesizing user research, transactional data, and stakeholder interviews.
Shepherd the Microsoft Fabric migration from the product side, partnering with data engineering to sequence domains and define adoption-ready semantic models.
Manage the full discovery-to-outcome loop, identifying customer pain points, designing targeted experiments, and setting strict success and kill criteria.
Treat internal stakeholders, such as finance analysts, data consumers, and operations teams, as core customers of internal platform tools.
Navigate regulatory and compliance requirements including PCI, PII handling, financial reporting, and data governance early in the product lifecycle.
Communicate transparently with leadership, engineering pods, and business partners regarding ongoing experiments, learnings, and strategic direction.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management.
Background that ideally includes payments or fintech, data or analytics platforms, financial operations, internal tooling, or technical B2B SaaS.
Quantitative proficiency including SQL fluency and the ability to read financial models and discuss data pipeline designs.
Working familiarity with Power BI as a consumer to evaluate report quality and structural design.
Strong discovery instincts with demonstrated experience conducting customer research.
Active and curious use of AI tools in daily work for tasks such as schema generation, SQL writing, research synthesis, and prototyping.
Crisp written communication skills with the ability to write influential one-pagers for diverse leadership audiences.

Nice to Have

Direct experience shipping payments, billing, or subscription products.
Previous experience acting as a product manager for a data platform, analytics team, or experimentation platform.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric components such as OneLake, Data Factory pipelines, lakehouses, and semantic models.
Advanced Power BI fluency including DAX literacy, workspace deployment pipelines, and row-level security.
Experience leading a data platform migration to a modern lakehouse or medallion architecture.
Background in EdTech, travel, or multi-sided financial operational models.
