The Data Exchange team at Zeta Global builds next-generation data science and engineering technology within the Copenhagen development office, collaborating closely with global teams in the US, Europe, India, and the Philippines. In this role, the engineer contributes to the analysis, development, and maintenance of complex data infrastructure, getting involved in every stage from initial brainstorming to ongoing maintenance with an emphasis on analysis, prototyping, and development. What you will do
- Contribute to the analysis, development, and maintenance of complex data infrastructure and interconnected systems.
- Engage in every stage of the development process, prioritizing analysis, prototyping, and software development.
- Translate real-world challenges into functional data models, ETL processes, algorithms, and code.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines for batch workloads.
- Collaborate closely with fellow developers, international product stakeholders, and management across global offices.
What you need
- Hold a strong academic background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience in designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable data pipelines.
- Show proficiency in Python, Scala, or other object-oriented programming languages for data processing tasks.
- Possess strong data analysis skills, including the ability to work effectively with large datasets.
- Bring a solid understanding of database technologies and distributed data processing for batch workloads.
- Communicate fluently in English to enable effective collaboration with international colleagues.
Nice to have
- 2-3 years of experience with Scala for data processing
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and software engineering best practices
- Familiarity with data integrations, data warehousing, data modeling, and query optimization
- Experience with Apache Spark and Apache Airflow
- Cloud expertise in AWS including services like S3, Glue, Athena, and EMR
