Modern organizations lack streamlined methods to handle complex global compensation programs, equity strategies, and data-driven HR systems at scale. To solve this problem, Fivetran seeks a Staff Compensation & Data Analyst to lead the architecture, modeling, and execution of global rewards programs using modern AI platforms and scalable data pipelines. Working at the intersection of quantitative analysis, compensation strategy, and HR technology, this person will build complex salary models, partner with Finance and Stock Administration on equity design, and utilize generative AI tools to accelerate data synthesis and predictive analytics.
This role exists to drive business-critical compensation initiatives such as merit cycles, pay modeling, and global equity governance while collaborating closely with Systems Engineering on Workday Compensation workflows. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background in compensation analysis, hands-on experience with Workday and advanced spreadsheet frameworks, and the ability to partner effectively across cross-functional teams in a scaling technology environment.
What you will do
- Build and maintain complex models for salary band creation, market pricing, geographic differentials, and merit budget allocation using advanced quantitative techniques.
- Leverage enterprise AI platforms like Claude and ChatGPT to conduct exploratory analysis on large workforce datasets and automate data transformation workflows.
- Partner with leadership and stakeholders to design global equity frameworks, refresh plans, grant guidelines, and vesting schedules.
- Co-design, test, and administer Workday Compensation and Advanced Compensation workflows in collaboration with Systems Engineering.
- Design and audit complex Workday custom reports and matrix reports to deliver real-time total rewards insights to business leaders.
- Apply structured change management principles to drive adoption of total rewards initiatives and develop engaging communication materials for various audiences.
What you need
- Requires 6+ years of progressive experience in compensation analysis, equity strategy, or People Analytics at a senior individual contributor level.
- Must have proven experience designing and modeling global compensation and equity programs in partnership with Finance within a scaling technology environment.
- Hands-on experience working directly with Workday Core Compensation and Advanced Compensation modules is required.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Suite, including dynamic arrays and complex formulas, is necessary.
- Demonstrated experience with change management and driving enablement programs through training collateral and educational workshops.
- Must possess a solid understanding of core compensation and equity design concepts alongside strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with Carta for cap table analytics and grant administration
- Experience applying Large Language Model tools to data analysis, code generation, or report generation
- Experience with BI and BigQuery tools for data modeling
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field
- CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) certification
