Role Overview

This hybrid role sits within the Business Systems team in Mountain View, CA, acting as a strategic technology partner. The professional in this position bridges People Operations, Real Estate & Workplace Services, and Engineering to develop an automated and AI-enabled systems ecosystem supporting the commercial and operational scale of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Define and execute the multi-year technology roadmap across People, Culture, and REWS systems, aligning business objectives with IT strategy and Alphabet corporate infrastructure.
Lead, mentor, and guide a team of systems analysts, engineers, and program managers while overseeing sprint backlogs, UAT execution, vendor governance, and release cycles.
Architect cross-platform integrations that connect employee lifecycle events to automated downstream actions including identity provisioning, badge access control, and desk allocation.
Modernize core workplace and human resources processes by evaluating and embedding AI-native tools, LLM-driven workflow automations, and intelligent business process automation.
Direct large-scale SaaS implementations and platform enhancements centered around tools like Workday HCM, CoStar, Sitetracker, Tririga, and corporate SAP integrations.
Manage system change management, third-level incident triage, root-cause analyses, data privacy, audit compliance, and security controls.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or MIS, or equivalent practical experience.
Eight to ten years of professional experience as a Business Systems Analyst supporting corporate HR and facilities or real estate functional areas.
Strong understanding of the HR and Real Estate technology domain alongside core business processes like Hire to Retire.
Solid project management fundamentals including Agile and Scrum framework experience, backlog management, and prioritization.
Excellent communication abilities to translate technical architecture into plain language for non-technical partners.

Nice to Have

Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or an MBA.
Deep functional and technical knowledge of Workday, including Core HCM, Business Process Framework, Studio, and EIB, alongside financial integration points like SAP.
Proven success driving business systems transformation in high-growth technology, autonomous vehicle, or complex hardware environments.
Experience with IoT and sensor-based space utilization systems, lease accounting workflows, and physical security access control integrations such as Lenel and CCure.
Practical experience deploying generative AI tools, automated chatbots, or agentic workflows for corporate workforce operations.
Familiarity with Alphabet internal shared infrastructure, security review standards, and data privacy policies.
