Role Overview

Blossom Health seeks an Applied AI Software Engineer to join the team in New York City on a full-time basis. The professional in this role will build and deploy technology that addresses the mental health crisis in the United States by assisting clinicians and patients.

Key Responsibilities

Construct and deliver AI-driven product features for patients and medical providers.

Create large language model systems and agents to streamline medical workflows.

Manage artificial intelligence features completely from initial concept and testing to production release and monitoring.

Establish evaluation, tracking, and feedback mechanisms to enhance artificial intelligence performance and dependability.

Handle models, prompts, tools, retrieval mechanisms, and application architecture.

Partner alongside medical staff and developers to identify areas where technology creates the greatest difference.

Requirements

Hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science or a related discipline.

Accumulate two or more years of professional software engineering background.

Demonstrate past work launching production applications powered by large language models or artificial intelligence.

Maintain fluency in Python and/or TypeScript.

Possess familiarity with modern language model application programming interfaces, agents, tool integration, retrieval, and structured outputs.

Maintain authorization to work in the United States and attend the New York City office five days per week.
