About this role
The AI Platforms & Experiences (APEX) team at FanDuel builds consumer-facing chat experiences, agentic marketing workflows, and AI-powered product development tools. This leadership role exists to define what AI-native product management looks like, directly shaping strategy and operating as a player-coach within the AI Engineering Organization.
The person in this role will own one high-leverage agentic product surface end-to-end, building working prototypes with modern tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and Lovable, while designing evaluation systems to decide what ships. A strong candidate is someone whose reflex when seeing a problem is to open a terminal and an agent harness before writing a document, combining deep technical fluency with a track record of elevating peers.
What you will do
- Mentor and coach AI product managers across the organization through pairing, design reviews, written critique, and prototype tear-downs.
- Own end-to-end strategy, roadmap, prioritization, and outcomes for one or more agentic workstreams.
- Build working prototypes using modern AI development tools and agent frameworks.
- Design and operate evaluation systems such as golden sets, offline evals, online experiments, and drift detection for every owned surface.
- Partner daily with business partners, engineers, platform teams, and legal to translate ambiguous business problems into agent-shaped solutions.
- Set the standard for AI-native product management craft by authoring tooling, maintaining documentation, and sharing patterns across the team.
What you need
- Bring 10 to 12 or more years of product management experience, with at least 3 years spent shipping AI or LLM-powered products in production.
- Demonstrate hands-on fluency building with modern AI development tools by pointing to personal prototypes, agents, or pull requests.
- Possess strong technical depth with comfort reading and writing code, participating in system design conversations, and working in evaluation notebooks.
- Maintain a working understanding of agentic infrastructure including model context protocol, orchestration patterns, tool use, and retrieval.
- Demonstrate a track record of operating as a player-coach who elevates peers without formal organizational authority.
- Exhibit sharp written communication skills with a strong bias toward producing detailed artifacts such as one-pagers, decision memos, and RFCs.
