Role Overview

The AI/ML Security Specialist is responsible for testing, reporting, and evaluating various artificial intelligence applications under guidance from Government Task Managers and Project Managers. The role involves conducting Operational Testing and Evaluation of AI implementations to find vulnerabilities, reviewing the agency's cyber defensive posture, and identifying protective solutions. All findings and remediation steps must be documented and delivered within 20 business days of test completion.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct Operational Testing and Evaluation of AI capabilities to detect vulnerabilities in implementations.
Ensure compliance with relevant federal and program technology laws, policies, and standards while delivering actionable testing reports.
Review the existing cyber defensive posture of the agency to locate areas vulnerable to AI-assisted attacks.
Help identify and apply protective solutions to secure the agency environment against AI-assisted threats.
Create Standard Operating Procedures covering testing plans and methods.
Deliver reports identifying testing methods and actionable remediation steps within 20 business days of test completion.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in AI/ML system testing, security assessment methodology, and adversarial ML techniques, or 3 years of such experience with a bachelor's degree.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field, if applying with 3 years of experience.
Active Secret Security clearance.
US work authorization without the requirement for future visa sponsorship.

Base pay range of $94,000 to $187,600 USD for locations including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia.
Compensation varies based on factors such as office location, role, skill set, and experience level.
