Remote, United States – This role is for an AI Infrastructure / Product Engineer suited to engineers with at least three years of experience building and deploying production systems.

Role Overview

The AI Infrastructure / Product Engineer will bridge AI research and product development, turning experimental models into reliable tools for legal workflows. The position focuses on building evaluation pipelines, backend services, and monitoring dashboards to ensure AI performance and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement repeatable benchmarks for model accuracy, hallucinations, retrieval quality, latency, and cost.
Create visual dashboards that surface system performance metrics to the team.
Translate research prototypes into production-ready retrieval, drafting, document, and agent workflows.
Develop backend APIs, services, and internal tools for testing and releasing improvements.
Deploy, monitor, and maintain cloud infrastructure, including databases and delivery pipelines.
Work closely with AI researchers while staying aligned with product and user requirements.

Requirements

Minimum three years of experience as a software, infrastructure, or product engineer building production systems.
Proficient in Python with practical experience deploying applications to cloud environments.
Proven ability to build evaluation pipelines or benchmarking systems for machine-learning models.
Experience with APIs, databases, backend services, and deployment pipelines that convert experimental code into maintainable products.
History of creating dashboards or monitoring solutions to visualize performance and ensure reliable cloud operations.
Familiarity with FastAPI, Docker, React, Next.js, Postgres, vector databases, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, agents, AI benchmarks, or document automation is advantageous.
