About this role
Eudia develops an AI-powered Augmented Intelligence platform that assists Fortune 500 legal teams with automation and risk management. The engineering group focuses on complex challenges in legal technology by combining artificial intelligence with human expertise to ship enterprise solutions rapidly.
Joining the Palo Alto office for the spring or summer term, the incoming intern collaborates closely with experienced researchers and engineers. Daily tasks involve working across Content AI and Document AI applications, evaluating and fine-tuning models, enhancing retrieval and reasoning quality, and assessing systems for reliability and performance.
Ideal candidates are currently pursuing a relevant degree and possess foundational knowledge in machine learning, deep learning, or natural language processing. Individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and want hands-on exposure to production-grade AI systems will find a strong fit within this team.
What you will do
- Assist in designing and implementing artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions to address customer-specific challenges.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to build, test, and deploy machine learning models in production environments.
- Support the development of cloud-agnostic and secure enterprise-grade software solutions.
- Participate in troubleshooting and optimizing AI and machine learning models to address performance bottlenecks and model drift.
- Conduct research and analysis aimed at improving model efficiency and accuracy.
- Help develop and maintain documentation for AI workflows and deployment processes.
- Provide input on product development and contribute to enhancing the AI and machine learning product roadmap.
What you need
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience with traditional machine learning, deep learning, large language models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, or other NLP techniques.
- Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools such as MLflow for monitoring and deploying machine learning solutions.
- Exposure to real-world projects involving data analysis, predictive modeling, or automation.
- Exhibits an interest in the legal technology domain or has previous experience working with enterprise-grade systems.
