About this role

Delivering reliable small business insurance requires transforming a complex value chain into fast digital experiences, a challenge this AI Engineer will tackle head-on. The engineering team builds technology-led capabilities for entrepreneurs across the United States, focusing on rapid execution and practical product development. Success demands heavy reliance on agentic coding workflows to maintain exceptional development velocity while filtering out non-essential noise. Someone with a startup mindset, high comfort with ambiguity, and a pragmatic product focus will thrive here.

What you will do

  • Design, build, and deploy end-to-end AI applications and features that span user interfaces, light DevOps tasks, and data cleanups.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and product teams to convert raw and shifting requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Utilize 100% agentic coding workflows to maintain high development velocity and delivery capability.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues across the entire feature stack with a strong bias for quick action.
  • Apply critical thinking to filter out noise, identify risks, and challenge requirements when necessary.

What you need

  • Bring at least five years of meaningful software engineering experience to the team.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of delivering software directly to customers with a willingness to touch any part of the tech stack.
  • Maintain daily proficiency with agentic coding approaches using tools like Cursor, Claude, or Codex.
  • Show a high comfort level navigating ambiguity, dynamic environments, and self-directed execution.
  • Communicate clearly and possess a pragmatic, product-first approach to solving complex problems.
