Role Overview

EDITED is hiring an AI Data Engineer to serve as the human in the loop for the AI agents supporting the data ingestion platform. Based in the Sofia Office, this role sits within the Product and Data team. The professional will work alongside operations leads, QA leads, software developers, retail specialists, and designers to build data-driven solutions for retail clients.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and enhance the AI agents that power the data ingestion platform
Function as the human in the loop to verify the correctness of AI system outputs
Assess AI results using regression tests, golden datasets, precision, and recall metrics
Review and analyze code generated by AI agents and retailer websites
Assess AI-created scrapers and data extraction procedures
Partner with operations, QA, software development, retail, and design colleagues
Translate technical information for non-technical audiences and clients

Requirements

Hold a degree in Mathematics, Information Systems, or Computer Science, or bring relevant background in software development, data engineering, data QA, or software testing
Demonstrate a quantitative approach with a strong interest in meticulous problem-solving
Maintain a critical perspective regarding AI-generated information
Apply an agile approach focused on teamwork, innovation, and ongoing learning
Prefer guiding AI systems to generate correct outputs over manual coding

Nice to Have

Experience with Python programming
Previous work in backend or frontend development
Practical experience utilizing LLM tools for professional tasks and practical knowledge of their limitations
Experience creating prompts, tool definitions for LLM-based systems, or working with agent frameworks
Knowledge of AI evaluation methods such as precision, recall, golden datasets, and regression testing
Familiarity with web scraping tools including Selenium, Playwright, Scrapy, or similar solutions
Background in data QA or testing web applications
Competence with Linux, command line operations, Git, and Agile or Kanban workflows
Capacity to communicate technical topics clearly to non-technical individuals and clients
