2027 Summer Intern, MS/PhD, Software Engineer, Multiverse
About this role
Graduate students who thrive on tackling complex technical challenges in robotics and deep learning will find a strong fit within this software engineering team. Waymo develops autonomous driving technology designed to perceive surroundings, make decisions, and transport passengers safely across various vehicle platforms.
During this internship, the chosen candidate will conduct cluster analysis on driving behaviors, build automated pipelines to enhance in-field responses to undesirable events, and develop signals that quantify driving performance. The software engineering group collaborates closely with hardware and systems engineers to build the core intelligence of the autonomous driver.
Participants in the internship program partner directly with industry leaders on high-impact projects while expanding their technical skill sets. The organization treats interns as integral members of the culture and utilizes the program as a primary talent pipeline for future hiring.
