The Product Data Science group operates cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Operations to guide company decisions using rigorous data analysis, helping scale the autonomous driving technology safely and efficiently.
Interns tackle concrete analytical challenges such as refining pricing mechanisms and measuring financial risk. Day-to-day work involves building granular features, improving time series estimation, and quantifying losses tied to model mispredictions. The internship serves as a direct pipeline for future talent, offering mentorship from industry leaders and meaningful participation in core business initiatives.
What you will do
- Refine causal and predictive pricing models by incorporating additional feature granularity and proper regularization techniques.
- Enhance pricing models through advanced time series estimation methods.
- Quantify financial losses stemming from pricing model mispredictions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and operations teams to inform business decisions using data.
What you need
- Current enrollment in a PhD program.
- Demonstrated expertise in causal inference and/or econometrics.
- Hands-on experience building predictive models.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
Nice to have
- Working with Causal Machine Learning approaches such as Double Machine Learning
- Previous experience at ride-hailing or marketplace companies

The expected hourly rate for Masters interns is $70, while the expected hourly rate for PhD interns is $85.
