Recursion

Recursion builds and operates an AI-native drug discovery and development platform called the Recursion OS. The company serves patients waiting for new treatments by focusing on conditions with high unmet medical need, including aggressive cancers, rare diseases, and neuroscience targets. To achieve this, Recursion applies artificial intelligence and machine learning to map disease biology, train models on cellular images, and run automated wet and dry laboratory experiments that form a proprietary dataset exceeding 50 petabytes.

The organization is driven by cross-functional teams of scientists, engineers, and drug hunters who combine physical automation with machine learning models. The open roles at Recursion indicate that the company is building technical teams focused on frontier AI research and scalable biomedical discovery. Specifically, the open positions include senior-level research roles requiring a PhD in machine learning, natural language processing, or computer vision, alongside several years of practical AI research experience.

In terms of location and work arrangements, the open role listings indicate that Recursion supports flexible working structures by offering remote opportunities within the United States. The teams operate in a collaborative environment that bridges virtual cell biology and generative chemistry to accelerate drug discovery and reduce traditional pharmaceutical failure rates.
