Goodfire

Goodfire is an AI interpretability research lab focused on understanding and intentionally designing advanced artificial intelligence systems. The company builds interpretability agents and infrastructure, such as its product Silico, to help AI teams uncover hidden representations inside neural networks. By reverse-engineering causal mechanisms and mapping neural geometry, Goodfire aims to remove the guesswork from AI training across large language models, life sciences, and robotics and vision applications.

The organization serves AI teams and partners by providing methods to explain, debug, and precisely control model behavior. Its technology has been applied to discover novel Alzheimer's biomarkers, explain genetic variants, reduce hallucinations, and debug training runs. Through its intentional design agenda, Goodfire works to transition the industry from trial-and-error training to precision engineering and closed-loop control.

The open roles at Goodfire indicate that the company is building a technical team consisting of research scientists and engineers. The available positions include roles such as Forward Deployed Research Scientist, requiring an MS or PhD in computer science with a machine learning background and experience in interpretability. This role is located in San Francisco, California, supporting the company's headquarters and customer-facing research efforts.
